The first weekend of November in Ohio is typically the tail end of the fall season, with the last few leaves clinging to the trees and the weather getting crisper every day. This year however, fall showed her colors a little later than usual, and that first week of November was overflowing with beautiful tones and vibrant landscapes! Meredith and Matt’s wedding celebration took place at The Overlook located in Kent, Ohio. Suitably named, the venue sits on the water and creates a stunning backdrop for exchanging vows. Meredith and Matt knew that they wanted to have an outdoor ceremony even if it was on the chilly side, but this day could not have been more gorgeous! Guests gathered by the water with plenty of blankets to keep them warm, bearing witness as the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in an intimate ceremony. Meredith and Matt got to spend the majority of the afternoon together during their First Look and portraits with their bridal party, which was another priority for them in planning their day. I will ALWAYS love when couples decide that time together is more important than following old traditions! Matt’s smile stretched ear to ear as he laid eyes on his bride for the first time, and I don’t blame him. Meredith looked absolutely stunning! This time together helped settle some nerves and let out some excitement, and I am so happy they got to share such a special time with each other before their guests arrived. This day makes me wish every wedding was a fall wedding! The perfect day, from beginning to end.

Meredith wore her grandmother’s necklace, such a special piece of jewelry on a special day.
Looking at your mama after getting into your dress makes it all start to feel real. We shared a few tears, and these beautiful ladies shared a special moment before Meredith went to see her groom.
Matt got his groomsmen all custom cuff links!
At last, the First Look!
There was a crowd watching the First Look from a distance!
Such a great group!
