A rainy day for your engagement session may not sound ideal, but THIS is why I love getting to work with people who trust me 100% and know that yucky weather can’t keep us from having some fun!  The day of Laura and Andy’s engagement session ended up being a dreary day with icy rain falling, so we decided our original plan might not be the best option.  We opted for a change of plans, and decided to have a cozy hang out by the fireplace in their home!  We popped some popcorn, made some cocoa, and I could have stayed by that fire all day!  After our initial meeting over coffee at Stone Fruit months ago, I already knew that I loved these two.  They are so down-to-earth and laid back, and speak so highly of the other in every way.  Not gonna lie, I teared up more than once as we sat by that fire and Andy shared the way his family adores Laura and immediately accepted her into their fold, how he loves her kind personality and the way everyone gravitates towards her presence.  And it is so true.  Laura has such a kindness that just radiates from inside, and you only have to be with her for about a minute to know that she is a true, genuine kind of person.  They compliment each other so well, and their mutual love for adventure and travel means they have so many amazing stories to share!

Not only did we get to have a cozy photoshoot by the fire, but we peeked outside and saw the rain had slowed down a bit, so we grabbed some umbrellas and ran into the backyard for those beautiful fall colors! I absolutely love the gorgeous fall photos we captured, and am so happy that a little rain didn’t get us down.  Laura and Andy, I hope you had a wonderful time capturing these memories, I don’t know how you’ll ever pick your favorites!
