First birthdays are milestones in so many ways, and one is that this is usually right around the time that kiddos begin walking!!  I know there are some advanced little ones out there that start standing up on their own and taking those first steps closer to the 10-11 month mark, and some that are in no rush to be mobile just yet haha.  Why walk when mom and dad can carry you?!  But it’s always exciting when I get to photograph first birthday sessions, and the birthday babe has just figured out the whole walking thing.  This week I met Vince and Lindsey and their son Vincent out at the beautiful Lily Pond in Mill Creek Park for Vincent’s birthday session, and just a couple weeks prior he had taken his first steps!  We had so much fun walking around the pond and checking out the ducks and geese.  Vincent loved running across the bridge and climbing up and down the park benches!  After our trip around the pond we adventured over to a nearby field where Vincent could run around and explore.  This evening was such a breath of fresh air, because it really felt like spring time!  There was a chill in the air, but the sun was shining and the colors of nature have finally started coming back to life.

Happy 1st Birthday Vincent!!  Thanks for running around with me and exploring the park, your cuteness made the day so fun!  Happy birthday big guy!
