Winter engagement sessions scheduled for March always make me a little bit nervous. In Northeast Ohio, that means it could be 60 and sunny, it could be a blizzard of snow, it could be freezing rain! Mother Nature keeps us guessing! We had a lovely week of mild temps, and then the temperature dropped and the snow came once again! Brittney and Chris were already planning on making the trip from their home in Tennessee up to Ohio for their engagement session with me, so we just bundled up and rolled with it! And I absolutely love how this session turned out, I don’t think these guys even look like they were cold whatsoever! They just had to snuggle a little closer to stay warm :) Brittney is one of my closest friends from high school, and it is always such a treat when I get to share in these milestones with friends and capture memories from some of the most important days in life. In probably the craziest story ever, Brittney met Chris while she was on a travel nurse assignment in Columbia, South Carolina. Theirs is a story where they met each other and just knew. Some relationships don’t begin just like that, but these two knew from the first time they said hello that there was something special there. Brittney is probably the sweetest person I have ever met, and I’d be saying that even if we weren’t friends. She has such a calm, caring personality, is a true listener, and is one of those friends you could call up at any hour and she would drop whatever she is doing to help you out. So when she told me that she had met a guy, I could not WAIT to meet this man who swept her off her feet! Well the more I get to know Chris and see the way he cares for Brittney, I know that there couldn’t be a more perfect match. He would do anything for Brittney, and his love for her is evident. He proposed to Brittney in front of Lanterman’s Mill, and I love that they wanted to shoot their engagement session in the same spot that is such an important part of their story! We explored some beautiful areas of the park, the snow just made everything look so pretty!
So excited for you Brittney and Chris! Thank you for making the trip to Youngstown for your engagement session, and for being such troopers in the cold weather! I am so excited to celebrate your wedding day this summer! Luckily it should be much warmer than this day was :) Enjoy some of my favorites from our day together!
