As much as I love shooting wedding days, I *might* have to say that shooting engagements are even MORE fun!  Engagement sessions are included for every wedding that I photograph, and this is my favorite time to really get to know my couples and hang out together!  When I help couples plan their engagement shoot, I always ask what their interests are and what they love doing together.  It’s so fun to incorporate those ideas and really make the session about them and their relationship!  2016 engagement sessions took me to coffee shops, breweries, college campuses, bustling cities, hiking through parks, wandering through fields, and so much more!  I got to hear hilarious relationship stories, how he really asked her on that first date, who said “I Love You” first, the excitement of buying the first home, dreams of the future, and the joy of preparing for their wedding day.  Being engaged is such a special and exciting season of a relationship, and capturing it in photographs for couples to cherish for years to come is just the best.  Here are just a few of my favorite moments captured from the engagement sessions of 2016!
