Being a wedding photographer is hands down the best career out there.  Standing alongside madly-in-love couples as they begin the wonderful adventure of marriage, and the responsibility that holds, is never lost on me.  It’s crazy to me to think that I get to spend time with these amazing people on such an important day in their life, and that they trust my creative vision and capacity to capture every little detail and flower petal and stolen kiss and subtle tear…and the not so subtle ones too.  2016 gave me the opportunity to work with some seriously incredible people, the ones who make this job not even feel like “work!”  I ran through corn fields, vineyards, and forests; outran more than one thunderstorm for portraits; fluffed dresses, straightened ties, pinned boutonnieres, fixed updos, and bustled gowns.  I wrangled bridal parties, sampled all the cookie tables (all of them), cried at the toasts, and you better believe I danced out on that dance floor!  And you guys, I smiled so hard the entire time.  I have the best job, with the best couples, and I feel so grateful as I look back on 2016 and some of my favorite wedding moments.

To all my 2016 couples:  thank you, thank you, thank you.  You guys get me.  I love all your crazy selves and am cheering on your marriages from the sidelines, you know I will always be rooting for you!  Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your best day ever as your wedding photographer, it means the world to me!
