When Matthew called me and shared his big plan, I could hear the excitement and nervousness bubbling in his voice.  He had the ring, he had a plan, and he wanted to capture the whole thing for his soon-to-be-fiance Katie to look back on 50 years from now with the same smile on her face.  Well I am not one to pass up the chance to be in on a surprise like this, not in a million years!  Surprises are my number one favorite thing, especially when I get to collaborate with others to pull them off!  We coordinated our schedules and planned the perfect evening to surprise Katie.  Matthew even went to great lengths to throw her off his scent!  He arranged to have her called off of work later in the week for their upcoming 2 year anniversary, and he knew she was probably thinking a proposal might be up his sleeve.  When her very pregnant sister Tara called her and told her she thought she might be having contractions and wanted her to come take a walk with her, Katie dropped everything and immediately came over!  Along their walk through the woods behind Tara’s house, she didn’t suspect a thing – until she rounded the corner and saw Matthew surrounded by candles, waiting for her.  They hugged, they cried, they laughed, they kissed…and she said YES!!!  And to make the evening even more memorable, Matthew arranged to have both of their families surprise Katie after the candlelight proposal!  Matthew and Katie shared a champagne toast in the chilly winter woods, surrounded by all their closest loved ones.  Fireworks exploded in the air as the last bit of sunset disappeared, and they soaked in every moment of a magical evening they will always remember.  Congratulations Matthew and Katie!!!
