When picking a location for engagement sessions, I always encourage couples to choose a place that has meaning to them personally and to their relationship.  Melissa and Tyler began dating right before they started college 7 years ago, so Kent State University DEFINITELY plays a big part in their love story!  We met at this beautiful college campus in Kent, OH, where we strolled along the beautiful walking paths under a canopy of trees.  The leaves were just beginning to change their colors, so glimpses of yellow and orange were peeking through all the green.  As we walked, I got to learn more about Melissa and Tyler and their love story and who they are as a couple.  What I love about these guys is the way they perfectly compliment each other and balance each other out.  Tyler is a laid back kinda guy with an easy-going personality, and he just exudes that laid back vibe when you’re around him.  I love people like that!  Melissa is a bubbly blonde with a joyful laugh and infectious smile, and she instantly makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever.  Seeing the way these two interact and bring out the best in each other just makes my little photographer’s heart smile!

After strolling around campus for a bit, we headed to downtown Kent, with it’s beautiful city streets and brick walls and scenic spots.  This was my first session in Kent, and I just love love love this little town and its charm!  So many picturesque little spots!  Melissa and Tyler, I had the BEST evening hanging out with you guys, and I cannot wait to celebrate your wedding day next summer!!  Take a look at just a few of my favorites from our time together, you guys made it hard to narrow these down!  ENJOY!!!
