It was a day they had waited for close to 7 years. The day where they would stand before their family and friends and promise to love each other for the rest of their lives, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer. Jackie and Micah are high school sweethearts with a love story that makes you smile, and what a joy it was to get to be a part of their day! Let me just say, I think this wedding wins the new record for the most tears cried throughout the day!! Hahaha! Nothing but happy tears though! From Jackie’s First Look with her daddy and her bridesmaids, to walking down the aisle towards her groom (tears ALL around for that moment!), to the beautiful toasts at their reception. The tears flowed from everyone, but smiles were abundant too as the Fisher and Lalama families came together to celebrate this wonderful day.
Jackie and Micah’s wedding day was one of those perfect September days – 75 degrees, sunshine, and blue skies with a breeze. It was amazing! I met the girls at Calvary Baptist Church after they finished getting their hair and makeup done, and I couldn’t help but smile as I listened to them laughing and chattering away while they drank mimosas and finished getting ready. These girls were so excited to stand by Jackie’s side on such a momentous day in her life. Jackie’s cousin and best friend Kaija helped her get into her dress, and Jackie surprised the rest of her girls with a grand reveal when she was all ready! The looks on their faces had ME crying!! They were so blown away by her beauty! And of course we were all crying when her dad stepped into the room to see his little girl as a bride. Such a sweet moment that I’m sure they will always remember.
Jackie’s daddy escorted her down the aisle of the beautiful church, where she met her groom at the altar (with tears in his eyes, of course). Micah and Jackie exchanged their vows, sealed it with a kiss, and danced – literally, danced! – their way back down the aisle! The party and celebration began from there! Allison and I had a blast taking portraits with this amazing bridal party! City Hall in Warren was the perfect location for portraits, and afterwards we headed to the beautiful Avalon Inn. Located on a sweeping golf course, the Avalon Inn is one of Warren’s most amazing event locations! Candlelit centerpieces set the elegant mood for dinner guests, and of course the cookie table was a hit! Jackie and Micah danced the night away with their family and friends, and we even stole a few minutes for sunset portraits. I don’t think they could have asked for a more perfect day.
Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, THANK YOU for trusting me as your photographer to tell the story of your day. It was an absolute JOY and an honor to be by your side, crying right along with you guys (sometimes I’m extra thankful that I’m BEHIND the camera!). This is just the beginning of your amazing journey together, I am so happy for you two and the love you share!

Jackie’s mother wore this necklace on HER wedding day, 27 years ago!
These girls…I cannot get over how adorable they are!! They waited in the hallway while Jackie got dressed, and came in together with their eyes closed for the big reveal. Their reactions were priceless!!
And the waterworks began again as dad came to see his little girl…
