Daniela and Paul exchanged vows at Poland Presbyterian Church and celebrated their marriage with family and friends at Drake’s Landing in a day that was filled with so much love. It was a hot and muggy August day with storm clouds lingering in the distance for much of the day, and it was perfect. Instead of two families coming together to celebrate this marriage, it really felt more like one big family reunion! And that’s just how Daniela and Paul are – everyone is welcomed into their story, and everyone is family.
The excitement in the room at the back of the church was palpable as Daniela and her closest girlfriends finished getting ready, laughing and taking turns standing in front of the fan to cool down. Daniela’s mom helped her into her dress, and you could see her eyes shine with pride in her daughter. Daniela’s father walked her down the aisle to the very spot where Paul proposed to Daniela on one knee, and here they stood a year later to make their vows to each other. The entire church erupted in cheers as Paul kissed his bride, and the celebrations began!
We definitely lucked out on a day where the forecast was not in our favor! The raindrops held off until dinner began at Drake’s Landing, and it was almost magical to hear the thunderstorm outside as guests enjoyed a candlelit dinner! Drake’s Landing is one of my favorite event venues, with the beautiful windows giving guests a view of the lake nearby. The wildflowers and candles decorating all the tables made such a romantic atmosphere! The maid of honor and best man delivered toasts that brought everyone to tears with the truthfulness of their words, and there is no doubt just how much these newlyweds are loved.
Take a look at some of my favorite images from this incredible day! Shoutout to Daniela and Paul’s AWESOME bridal party for being so much fun to spend time with! It was a HOT day, and these guys were total troopers making stops for portraits. On a beautiful wedding day, Daniela and Paul reminded me just how important “moments” are over “pretty pictures” on more than one occasion, and that’s what makes me love them even more. Congratulations to you, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers!
