In the state of Washington, it seems that you’re almost always within reach of the mountains. Living in Tacoma, we’ve been nestled between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, with incredible views on the (rare) clear days. The only trouble with being in Washington for the winter months was that we had to wait for spring to arrive to access the national parks! We made the drive last week to Olympic National Park, where we were able to drive up to Hurricane Ridge. I think spring is finally making an appearance here in the Pacific Northwest, because we have had blue skies and sunshine and the rare raindrops that we’ve grown accustomed to! It was a clear day on our trip to Hurricane Ridge, which means we got to witness the incredible views Hurricane Ridge is famous for! Miles and miles of stunning beauty, with no end in sight to the mountains. We timed it perfectly and got to watch the sunset over the Olympic mountains, and once again I am in awe at the things my eyes have witnessed. The camera doesn’t give justice to this beauty, but here are a few of our attempts to capture the majestic mountains.
It almost blends in with the sky, but that’s the water behind me!
