The mountains change you.  We’ve seen the Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the White Mountains…and every single time, I find myself changed.  More aware of how small and finite I am, reminded of how grand our world is that we live in, and inspired to breathe deeper.  Most of all though, the mountains seem to me such a great reminder of how awesome our Creator is.  That he would speak such things into existence to delight us and change our perspective, to give us adventure and renew our minds.

“Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!”   – Psalm 33:8

We almost missed it, but look closely and you’ll see a waterfall trickling out of the side of the mountains here!

The Crystal Mountain Ski Resort offers a scenic gondola ride up to the top of the mountain, where you can take in the incredible view of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range!  Our visit happened to be on an incredibly cloudy day, so we did not get the famous view of the Cascades, however we found the foggy mountains to be just as beautiful and were not disappointed at all!  I think these foggy images look more like paintings!

Back down the mountain we go…another successful adventure!
