You never know where your love story might begin. For Miranda and Phil, it all started on the dating site eHarmony! Sparks flew at their first date, and you could say that the rest is history. Phil surprised Miranda with a proposal to remember (you’ll have to hear them tell the story…or you can read it here), and wedding plans were under way for September nuptials. September? But….isn’t it May?! Yes, you read that right! Miranda and Phil’s original wedding date was planned for September, and I can remember the day not so long ago that Miranda called me and asked if I might be available to shoot a wedding on May 2nd instead. Turns out that Phil’s brother and sister-in-law got the news that they were expecting, and take one guess what their due date was! Yep, Miranda and Phil’s original wedding date! Now, I don’t know a lot of brides out there that can just switch their wedding date without even batting an eye. But Miranda did it! She and Phil went into wedding planning overtime, and they pulled off the wedding of their dreams!
Mr. & Mrs. Johnson, it was an honor to be a part of your incredible day! Getting to know you two and seeing the way you love and care for each other is something to celebrate…enjoy some of my favorite moments from your day!
The Ohio spring blossoms arrived just in time for Miranda and Phil’s wedding day!
What a sweet idea for something blue…
Sometimes the little details have the most meaning. Miranda’s father gave her mother this necklace before their wedding day, and it has a pearl for each year they dated.
Is Phil right out of Casablanca, or what!
If you can’t tell, these guys are brothers :)
One of my favorite moments from their day. The bride and groom snuck away for a brief moment after their ceremony, soaking in the fact that they were officially married!
We headed over to Fellows Riverside Gardens for bridal party portraits. Such a beautiful place!
Drake’s Landing always does a phenomenal job for receptions! I loved the decor!
Is this not the most brilliant idea you ever saw for a kids’ table?!
The bride’s father “wrote down a few things” he wanted to say in his toast! He had every one in the room laughing so hard!
Party time!!
We snuck out for some glowy sunset portraits…
Congratulations Miranda and Phil!! Allison and I had the best time ever capturing your day, we love you!!
