If there’s one thing that poses a challenge to portrait photographers, it’s the RAIN.  You can’t control it, you don’t always know when it will decide to show up, and you can’t tell how long it will stay.  And here in Northeast Ohio, that rain just likes to show up more often than we’d like!  However, I’m learning that rain is just an added challenge for creativity and just because there’s some rain doesn’t mean we can’t take portraits.  Luckily my clients TRUST me when I ask if they’re still willing to shoot with the rain, and we still get to capture beautiful portraits!  The day of the Gintert’s family session last week was rainy and cold…..no, freezing.  I thought snowflakes were going to start falling instead of the raindrops!  But Brandon and Carly did not mind some rain drops, and luckily we had a little bit of a covering to help us out when it started pouring.  So in between dodging rain drops and extra hugs to stay warm, we captured some of my favorite maternity portraits!  The colors on the trees were vibrant and the cloudy diffused light was beautiful to work with.  I’m so excited to see Carly and Brandon’s family grow, Baby #2 is a surprise and it will be so exciting to see if Claire is getting a baby brother or sister!

 

Gintert crew, thank you SO MUCH for being such troopers and hanging out in the rain with me!  I hope you cherish these special moments, soon you will be a family of FOUR!  Yay!! :)
