He is from California, she is from Ohio.  She moved to the west coast and met him, their hearts connected and sparks flew.  Christina and Jeff are one of those couples that just “fit.”  You only have to spend five minutes with them to see how they compliment each other :)  He swept her off her feet with a surprise proposal, and plans for an Ohio barn wedding began.  Now when planning for a wedding in early October, you can probably envision a crisp fall day with the leaves starting to change and a change of season in the air.  But when you’re planning for a wedding in early October in OHIO…you just can’t be sure of what you’ll get!  I have to laugh because I think Christina and Jeff experienced every weather change possible on their wedding day!  It started off cloudy and cold, and then the rain began to fall in the morning, forcing the ceremony to the first floor of the barn.  The sun peeked out after I Do, and then SNOW FLURRIES fell at the reception!  It was a sight to see all the guests from Ohio standing on the porch shaking their heads, while the guests from California laughed with excitement at seeing the white fluffy stuff, and even ran out to catch some of the flakes!  Despite the wacky weather though, Christina and Jeff’s wedding was beautiful, every last detail.  And it wasn’t the dress she wore, or the beautiful table settings, or the barn decor – it was the love that Jeff and Christina so obviously share for each other, and promised to share for the rest of their lives.

I loved their bright-colored decor!  Wildflowers and confetti on every table made the barn so cheery and bright.

It was FREEZING outside, but Christina was such a trooper and shivered in Jeff’s arms for some just-married portraits!

These three gave the best toasts to Jeff and Christina, so genuine and heartfelt!

This was the best garter toss ever!  Maybe the youngest gentleman in the history of garter tosses to ever catch it :)

Christina’s parents have the best neighborhood gang ever!  They were all seated together on their own level of the barn, probably because of how rowdy and fun they are ;)  It took some effort, but we got a great group shot of everyone together!
