I love birthdays.  To some people a birthday is just another day, but not in my book!  If it’s your birthday you should eat ice cream for breakfast and get a paid day off work and everyone should open the door for you everywhere you go and balloons should be floating around every corner you turn.  And so a 90th birthday party is a really big deal!  Evelyn Yuhanik celebrated her 90th birthday last week, and her family made this one unforgettable day for her!  What started out being a family get together became a mini-family reunion, because everyone wanted to come be a part of this special lady’s big day.  The Lake Club does such an incredible job with their events, and they did a wonderful job for the Yuhanik party!  I loved being a part of such a joyous celebration, and everyone in the family was so welcoming!  We found common ground in the fact that we are both Slovak, so I knew I liked this crew ;)  Take a look at some of Evelyn’s birthday fun!

Evelyn with all of her grandkids and great-grandkids…so many of them we had to find a bigger location to fit them all!  What a blessing!

The family put together a slideshow of images of Evelyn over the years, guests loved reminiscing as they watched the slideshow.

Kiddos used fabric markers to decorate squares of fabric that are going to be made into a quilt for their Grandma.  What a creative idea!
